Who am I?

The older I get, the more I find myself wanting to invest in fewer wardrobe staples.

Gone are the days where I had a closet full of clothes and yet I still had nothing to wear. I’ve learned the hard way that too much of something is not good. It leaves you feeling overwhelmed and it’s not a good feeling. It’s literally baggage, and I refuse to lug around things I don’t love. This is why I’m rather making pieces like this plaid dress. It’s such a simple pattern, yet I feel super cute in it! I could make loads of the same dress in many different fabrics, add a pair of booties and I’m a happy girl. I no longer shop for clothes. The only things I buy and don’t DIY are jeans and shoes… and who knows – in the near future I will just attempt to make my own jeans!

Plaid Dress – Made By Me // Boots – Cotton On

When I saw these boots, I immediately thought of the movie All About Steve, where Mary (Sandra Bullock) said: “Mary, why do you wear those stupid red boots all the time? … Because it makes my toes feel like 10 friends on a camping trip, that’s why.” and I knew I just had to grab myself a pair!
